Our Mission Statement 

Longford Westmeath Community Transport Ltd exists to ensure the development of an effective sustainable and accessible rural transport service for rural dwellers in Counties Longford and Westmeath.

Types of Service 

Bus, Mini Bus, Community Car, Hackney

All our services are subcontracted to local bus operators (21 in total)

LWCT Operate 36 door-to-door weekly scheduled services between 9.30am and 2.30am and within school runs. (See timetables for details). Scheduled runs are used by people wishing to access essential services, such as shopping, pension collection, medical, banking and post office. We provide transport for youth services, disability, pre-School, after school, and day care centres.

The Community Car service is accessible to people in the county and is strictly available for non emergency medical appointments only.

This service is provided by 13 volunteer community car drivers.
